Warm greetings in the new year. Iloilo Mission node had its first meeting of the year last Friday, Jan 6, 2012. We were eight who gathered together and it was an excellent start to the year! We were able to create a generative dialog that was so rich and so inspiring that I felt that "Yes," our meetings as stated so beautifully by Nick, should be places where one comes to re-experience their imaginality. Somehow we were able to tap into an aspect of this. We began our meeting with the thinking exercise and then for our check-ins, we asked the question: "What inspires you about the coming year?". The conversation and sharing was so rich, with each person weaving a tapestry of ideas that took off from the previous sharings, that I felt moved to share this small achievement with you all.
Some of the sharings spoke about consciously choosing to die to something from our past that we do not wish to take forward into the future. About the real power of choice, what it means to choose to be creative, about the importance of context and how we can shift our context by deciding what energy and what intention we bring, about seeing doors and gates and portals as invitations to shift our context before entering, about silence, stillness and heart knowing. It was so rich that I know my meagre words fail to capture the richness!
I was also struck by the power of a question to provide an entry point to something much larger, to the generative space of creativity and inspiration. I would like to hear from other nodes what questions have you found in your nodal meetings that have worked to open up an imaginal conversation?
With all best wishes to you all for the coming year and the work together!
