MANILA NODE’S FIRST WORKSHOP COURAGE FOR 2012

MISSION Manila Node completed a very successful Workshop Courage last 14-15 January 2012. Aside from the very interesting and deep conversations, there was poetry, a magic performance and many more. The group was also introduced to Jose, a puppet look-alike of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, through a ventriloquist act by Olan Ignacio, one of the participants who specializes in enter-training. Jose entertained us with funny anecdotes and a beautiful song.

Everyone left the workshop inspired and raring to meet the world through their Imaginal selves. We would like to share with everyone the two poems that came out during the workshop. As you can see from the poems, the participants were in one of their best creative moments!

A lightning strikes enlivening one

down to the cellular level of one’s being.

A spark that ignites to a fire enveloping

the whole being.

Determined, persistent, truly indescribable.

Armour being ripped away.

Skies opening up stretching to Infinity.

FROM STATE TO STAGE EXERCISE

As iron sharpens an iron so are we

going to support each other.

For sticks in a bundle are hard to break;

Let it not divide, for being alone,

we can be conquered.

Let it unite, for even a drop of a rain can

break a stone by becoming an ocean.

Let it grow, like a planted seed.

Nurtured. By nature, becoming a tree

Let it spread. That the tree may turn into

a forest.

Let is arise, selfless. Upright.

Undivided. Unhindered.

In faith and hope and love.

Regardless of boundaries, regardless of

limits. Bound to eternity.

Let it ablaze, that it may shed

light in doubt.

Let it mark, like a crater in

a steel.

Let it be shared, for there is much

Wisdom in giving than in

receiving.

Let it be surrendered, for we are

just a vessel of the Imaginal’s glory.

Like a lake in the night that reflects

the grandeur of the moon.

Let it be in faith, that we may always

be reminded that it is not us

that is holding the Imaginal

but the Imaginal holding us.

Let it be in love.

Unconditional love.

That rejoices in the truth.

Let it be in you.
